Too long and pretentious. If it had stuck to being a shorter, simpler monster movie I might have enjoyed it more. But then, I really don`t like moster movies other than the original Jurassic Park. The best parts of Kong were those that resembled JP the most. Great special effects and some cool set designs so it`s not a complete waste of time and others might enjoy it. It just wasn`t for me.

there was too much random stuff in it i can tell the director had too much ideas in his mind on how he can better the movie..only ending up NOT knowing how ta put a stop on stuff.. then they figure they wasted too much time & forced to end stuff in a lame way.. like the part where the camera crew was surrounded by a sea of bugs... then there was the part where the dinosaurs went nuts runinng for their lives... i mean~ wth! everyone goes ninja style and somehow NOT gett crushed/ i mean these stuff cud of been just excluded from the movie without making too much of a difference....

Decent movie. Should have been 2 hours, but they pushed plot aside and had endless action/chases/fights on Skull Island that needlessly went on forever, boosting the running time above 3 hours. They`d be running from creature A only to bump into creature B, fight it and draw the attention of creature C, run from that to fall off a cliff where creature D shows up. And so on. The relationship between Kong and the girl was done remarkably well, but the relationship between the girl and the writer seemed nonexistant and forced. Still, despite a hundred and one gripes with the movie, in the end I did enjoy it overall. The ending was very well done

Take one part Jurrassic Park, one part Land That Time Forgot, add a really bad remake, sprinkle in way too many computer generated dinosaurs, and you have it, the recipe for 3 hours of crap. Way too over hyped!!!

The movie was definetely a peice of eye candy, absolutely stunning graphics. but the fact that the island seemed to be designed for a bunch of clueless humans to stumble upon, full of impossible situations such as a bunch of giant grasshoppers attacking a dude and some kid who`s never shot a gun before somehow blasting the grasshoppers away with a machine gun, never mind that the creatures would have nothing to eat if the humans like swarms of giant bugs with no desire to feed on anything but humans, and where did all the T-Rex`s come from? overall the most part of the movie was just a bunch of random scenes made to amaze the audience while

This movie failed in every category except for the radiance of Naomi Watts who lit up the screen. I walked out and enjoyed Fun with Dick and Jane for a while instead.
