It s not a bad movie - it s a bit long and the excitement over the film is over-rated. Excellent special effects. I can see why young kids would love the wizards/witches and magic in the film.

I really enjoyed the special effects, they made the movie very real. I didn t like the fact that some things were left out of the movie that were in the book, but I know that if everything was put into the movie it would have been much longer than the 150 minutes that it already is. I really recommend the movie for anyone and everyone who likes to go and watch movies.

Too many things bugged me about this movie. Wizards celebrating Christmas (gods worshipping other gods?)? A troll everyone s scared of but who s easily defeated and couldn t hit a standing target? To me it was all a bunch of cliches about wizards/witches (flying on broomsticks?!? zzzzz...) regurgitated. 2.5 freaking hours!! Wake me when Lord of the Rings opens.
