  This movie was entertaining, but my husband and I found it was slow in places. the cinematography of Iceland and Greenland was spectacular and the soundtrack was pretty good. The action shots were obviously computer generated;we thought these were quite lame. Acting was okay. We appreciate the free passes, but we would have been disappointed if we had to have paid full price.

  "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" was a great escape into the world of an ordinary man's mind. The movie is quirky and original, with Ben Stiller doing an excellent job portraying his role. At first I thought the movie might have a few too many 'dream sequences', it quickly became a real adventure, with beautiful scenery around the world. Kristen Wiig is charming and sweet as the unrequited love interest. Overall it's exciting, funny, and heart-warming all in one.

  I liked this movie very much. At first I thought it would be a comedy, but after I saw it, I heard that it was based on a short story. The comedic actors did a great job. There was a point near the beginning that I thought if they just continue with all the fantastic imaginary scenarios & hallucinations that the main character (Ben Stiller) was having, it was going to get tiresome fast. But that turned around quickly, and it ended up being a truly engaging and unpredictabe film with a very strong moral. It's amazing how a short story could be turned into a thoroughly enjoyable movie.

  Ben Stiller stars as a bookish introvert who only comes out of his shell by day dreaming of love and adventure until one day he is forced to leave the comfort zone of his own mind and venture out into the real world to solve a mystery. Ben Stiller's performance is typical,at times light and at times deadpan and the humour is what might be called subdued through-out the film. There are some laughs but the humour is more sophisticated than a typical Stiller film. What really makes the Secret Life of Walter Mitty soar are the imagery, location, story and special effects that lift the movie from the screen.   Ben Stiller found the right movie to showcase his usual acting persona in Walter's 'secret life' and a more serious role as Walter Mitty. Sean Penn, Shirley MacLaine and Kristen Wiig were excellent casting choices.
