  This movie was excellent, great story and the CGI was solid. Crowe was very well cast as was Cavil and Zod. Lois could have been better though.

  awesome... really good movie...lots of action good story... don't like amy adams, but she was a good lois... cavill is really good as clark fits the part.. i don't know what movie reviewers are talking about this is a fantastic version of super man cant wait for more....

  Superman 1 and 2 was great but Man of Steel elevated itself into a different level of epicness. DC and WB are now ready to challenge Marvel's position as hit makers in the comics to movies adaptations turf The real winners are comic book fans

  Great stunts but there weren't a lot of flying sequences. And here's something I thought I'd never say: bring back Kate Bosworth.

  The Man of Steel's cinematic return is a decidedly mixed bag: Michael Shannon's maniacal Zod rates as the movie heavy of the year; as Superman, Cavill is an improvement on Brandon Routh, but Amy Adams' Lois Lane had me pining for Teri Hatcher. Surprisingly, Superman's flying effects were better in the 1978 original, perhaps because it's clear we're only watching a cgi character here as opposed to a flesh and blood Christopher Reeve (who will ALWAYS own the role). If MAN OF STEEL isn't the triumph it could have been, it's engaging enough to sit through the entirety of its elongated running time, something that couldn't be said about SUPERMAN RETURNS.

  i give it a 3 cause every Superman movie after Superman 2 was plain and utter garbage.. RIP Christopher Reeves the ONLY true Superman.. This rating may change.. BUT not until the movie is ACTUALLY released
