3 days after the movie, Queen's songs are still playing through my head. the funny thing is that some I haven't heard in years and they were not in the movie either. it is entertainment pure and simple.

The ONLY thing I didn't like about the movie, is that they didn't really touch on the lives of any of the other band members, except Freddie--but I know that aside from him, the others lead a pretty tame life and I suppose that doesn't make a good movie!

Hardening back to the days pre-social media, this movie shows how a band could rise to super stardom through sheer talent and not “likes”. The story touches enough on the rise of the band and more importantly their larger than life, one of a kind lead singer Freddie Mercury. The way a band would form and collaborate is highlighted as well as the dawn of the MTV era which created visuals of the bands you listened to and then sadly created a divide and conquer between whose band member was most popular. The rise and fall and rise again of the mighty Queen and humbling of the greatest frontman in music hairy, Freddie Mercury is a story any music lover of all generations should witness and thankfully Bohemian Rhapsody nailed it. Side note: hearings fellow movie goers all burst into song was what I presume the surviving by members of Queen intended. Their timeless music being celebrated whenever and wherever it’s played. RIP Freddie Mercury, his time on earth so short yet so impactful. An immigrant who broke barriers and pushed countless boundaries. Sadly the horrible AIDS virus murdered him but his legacy lives on with every note of every song his beautiful 4 octave voice sang. I defy anyone to not feverishly look up their epic Live Aid performance (which truly stole the show) and not wish for a time machine to those glorious days when Queen reigned over the kingdom of music fans.

We thought this to be an overall great movie. Rami Malek was great and at the very least should be nominated for an Academy award as well as the movie too. His manuerisms during the concert parts were spot on to the way he and Freddy both performed. Especially the Live Aid concert. Almost everything he did was exactly the way Freddy did it as I have the DVD of that concert. 2 thumbs up on this movie.

I’m extremely disappointed in this movie. They made it seem like Freddie’s AIDs diagnoses brought the band back together when in fact that isn’t the case at all. Live Aid happened in 1985, Freddie Mercury was diagnosed with Aids in 1987. He told the band members 2 years later in 1989. Freddie Mercury was friends with Roger Taylor and Brian May when they were in the band Smile, Freddie wanted to join but they already had a lead singer, so he joined them on the road. Brian May dated Mary Austin before Freddie Mercury did, they didn’t work out so Brian May introduced them. Roger Taylor and Freddie Mercury had a clothing stall before Freddie joined the band Smile. This movie is complete and under rubbish. As a huge Queen/Freddie Mercury fan i’m sad that they changed the facts to make a better movie.

Very interesting and entertaining movie about this great and creative band, Queen. Freddie has been heralded as one of the greatest voices in rock. When you listen to the variety of songs they created, they rate with the very best.
