  I took my 4yr old grandson and he was frightened by the movie. Not appropriate for little ones

  The whole movie is sad pretty much throughout. There is not a really "Disney" happy ending. We went on a play date to see this movie. The mom that suggested it apologized for picking it after it was over.

  This movie was moving. I liked it. Kids can learn from this movie on how to beat fear, to keep going, making friends and who your enemies might be and how to keep going in the face of losing a parent. It's not an action movie per say but a quiet thoughtful movie about two characters alone that face danger together.

  Wow. The trailer showed the only part suitable for children. Violent, depressing and scary. Its like Quentin Tarentino started working for Pixar. The little cave boy was creepy. Horrible movie.

  I read the story line and watched the previews, and it seemed like a cute movie, so I took my grandsons. We had to take one grandchild out, and the other didn't enjoy it at all. WAY too violent, shame on Pixar for marketing to kids. Even for adults, the message is lost on me- the take away seemed to be that life sucks, and if you survive you get to put your footprint on a wall. Horrible show.

  Not!!! For kids under 8. Violent my kids were scared. The dad Dino dies!!! Threats and killing with the animals. This should be dialed down a lot!!!

  I thought it was very violent for my 4 and 6 year old grandchildren. Lots of animals being killed. My fault, I should have read the story line. But why does Disney always have a parent die in their movies?

  Very good Movie and Great animation. certainly worth watching!!!
