  The true story of Hape (Hans-Peter) Kerkeling growing up in Germany to become a famous comedian. Beyond the seemingly happy guy showing up on TV to amuse the audience, his growing-up story is not so happy after all. Despite the sorrow, he copes by pretending and performing and making people laugh. An auto-biographical tragic comedy, with Julius Weckauf being a perfect young Hape in every aspect. Great movie!
