I got that it was typical Coen , I am older love the black and white oldies, I guess I just missed something , got bored after a couple of laughs. Wished I'd chosen something else!

Great fun. Humor is subtle, well-played by Brolin, Clooney and the many cameos. Don't believe the negative reviews by those who don't "get it". Probably went over their heads...shwoosh.

You have to know what to expect from the Cohen Brothers. The dry humour was great! It is meant for a mature audience for sure with opera music, synchronized swimming and a deep Russian song. No zombies, nudity or assault weapons killing hundreds here. Wonderful if your IQ is bigger than your shoe size. Way over the heads of the messy popcorn scattering, noisy, young men we experienced who could not stay seated or be quiet so others could enjoy.

What an educated funny movie this is, excellent .. The tongue-in-cheek dialectic critique of Hollywood is beyond belief funny . Again, you need a few cultural pointers to really enjoy the subtle humor.

Mediocre comedy that is not up to par for the Cohen Brothers.

So lame. The subtle humour doesn't save this movie. They tried to do too much and failed miserably. These guys can be funny, however they only managed a couple of funny moments. We were really disappointed.

I thought Cloony was better than playing in a movie that was SO STUPID. People walked out. People complained. Will probably be nominated for worse movie EVER. I,ll have to think 3 times about seeing a Cloony movie

this movie? is a piece of crap the acting (which was supposed to look bad) was so good, it looked bad. what a piece of crap. every cliché and nuance and lame line imagined in any old movie was here. still a piece of crap I couldn't get up and leave, I wanted to....... did I mention, this movie (even with the great soundbites and optical references to bygone cinema) is a piece of CRAP !
