A summer action movie is there for youbto enjoy 2 hours of your time, and that's exactly what this does. Too many whiners here complaining about Tom Cruise, even though he's delivered hit after since early 80's, what have you done? If they show new ideas, ppl complain its not like original, and if they rehash same idea, ppl complain where's the originality!

The movie is pure entertainment with a great story line. Nothing to do with historical events, it's all fiction. Hence, it is all about leaving this crazy planet for 1:47 minutes and take a nice breather from it. The movie was great and had its moments...several of them. There were some talented, creative people behind its production that took the Mummy story to another level. It is definitely worth the time to go and see. Do I like Tom Cruise? I don't know; I never met him. I will say he's a talented and gifted actor. No, I don't like anything about Scientology except gone. However, I still can't see how people can judge a movie solely under such a premise as I've read in some of these posts. To call it a flop just because you don't like an actor involved with the movie is simply short changing yourself. So far as the critics go...ignore them; they barely get it right less than 1/2 the time There is a reason WHY they are critics and not on the big screen. I'll leave that for you to figure out.

The initial US reviews are from writers who must be on psychotropics. They obviously miss the horror, claiming there is none. Pretty much unanimously it is said the action supersedes any real horror. This is completely untrue. I am old enough to have seen every Mummy movie there ever was. This is the best of all of them. The only lament is there never was a Mummy 4 from Brandon Frazier. His Mummy 3 ends with his assistant heading to Peru to get away from Mummies for awhile but it's noted as the movie ends that Peru has more mummies than any other country in the world. It made for an excellent lead for a 4th but it never happened. I can agree that if one only sees the trailers

Love the movie but Tom Cruise was just a name to make money. Could have been unknown actor and it would have been just as good. It's a solid story line and cg was stellar.

Really really bad. I like Tom Cruise as an actor, but not even Tom could save this movie. Don't waste your time or money.

For a mummy/zombie movie, it wasnt as bad as it could have been. History rewritten, so beware. It would actually be better if one day a script writer would suggest how terrible it is to dig up someones ancestors and the worst curse is the bad public relations it causes.

Cruise ruins every movie for me....will NEVER go see another thing he does.
