One of the few Stephen King movies that actually works. Rob Reiner did a fantastic job. James Caan and Kathy Bates give a great performance. Sometimes the best movies are ones which very few set pieces and relatively close quarters but finds ways to make situations which create tension. I'm sorry but the ankle busting....classic.

Not scary at all. The horrifying violence of the novel has been completely watered down to nothing. This is what happens when a squeamish liberal puss tries adapting material that he's too wimpy to tackle. The two lead actors are talented but totally inappropriate for these roles.

Kathy Bates shines in this Oscar-winning performance. The cat-and-mouse between her and James Caan makes for one of the best psychological thrillers of all time.

Badly miscast and emasculated adaptation of Stephen King's novel (probably King's last good novel) is boring and not frightening in the slightest. Concrete proof that Rob Reiner has absolutely no knowledge of how the genre works. Way to go, Meathead!
