5 stars A real eye opener concerning the major problems of discrimination with women and color. I really enjoyed this movie.

One of 2016's best. Brilliant. Touching. Car chase fans won't like it.

This was an excellent movie! I loved the historical aspect and how it showed the extreme prejudice and racism that was rampant in the 1960's. I especially loved how the movie did not make the audience feel sympathy for any of the white males or females at NASA....it showed reality. It also showed how determination allowed these black women to rise above prejudice and get ahead in society.

This film is a "must see" about some little-known, but extremely important, behind the scenes activity surrounding the development of the U.S. space program. Perhaps there were racist and/or sexist reasons why this information was kept so hush-hush ....... up until now. The subject matter, and the performances of the actors, kept me engaged through the whole film. I highly recommend that everyone goes to see it.

This movie had the perfect balance of background stories on these extraordinary women and drama of the space program. The social issues of the day with segregation seem so long ago but it is still recent enough that there were sounds of disbelief at the treatment of people of colour. I loved the real photos of the actual mathematicians and engineers at the end of the movie!

I really enjoyed the movie - and felt that the ladies (especially Olivia Spenser) did a fantastic job in portraying life as an intelligent colored woman in the 60's. Jim Parsons may have been a bit miscast, but he put in an admirable performance as did Kevin Costner. I would definitely recommend this movie (and have already done so to friends).

I was very fortunate to get to see an advanced screening of 'Hidden Figures' the other day. It's a true story of the three negro women, Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson, who, if it wasn't for them and their brilliant minds, astronaut John Glenn (the first American to orbit the Earth) would never have been able to make the trip and return to earth alive. It is a very well made movie with great acting, an engaging mix of drama and comedy and an eye opening story. I enjoyed it so much that it felt like the 2 hours just flew by and I actually wanted to see more! I recommend this movie with two thumbs way up!
