Beautifully done. Loved it. Don't left the 1 stars scare you off, they're all wrong. If you loved E.T. all those years ago you'll love this.

We enjoyed this movie a lot. One of the few movies that actually did a really good job of following the book.

This movie is for a 5 years old child, I actually slept in the theater, while waiting boring.

I felt that the first hour was a little slow and at times a little boring. However, the last 90 minutes were quite good and the ending was the absolute BEST!! Loved Ryan Gosling's "little buddy"!

Absolutely painfully boring and predictable. Extra long so agonizing. The problem is it is completely predictable. It is like watching a 2 1/2 hour trailer. Astronaut wants to save planet. Meets alien in space. Same goal. They become friends and help each other. The end. 2 1/2 trailer movie. * People who rate this high, like ridiculously simplistic predictable movies, or, they took a child. If you are taking a child. Fine. Just watch E. T. again. E. T. is actually good. People leaving the theatre looked exhausted from length boredom, packed and nobody said a word, likely half asleep. You won't believe this, having said this, but it doesn't take much to make me happy as a movie. Just so, so long and boring.

Special effects and music were best features. Science poorly explained and quickly passed over to get to the sentimental stuff. Agree with others basically boring and predictable.

Ryan Gosling did a great job on his part. The scenery, special effects, and music, were very well done. I liked the way they did the story line looking back to the beginning and then to the present to understand the plot better. It was nice to see the friendship between two very different individuals deepen in the way that it did; and what they were willing to give for each other. And the very end put a big smile on my face. P.S. I very much appreciated the absence of vulgar language throughout this movie like most of the movies have now days.

Half-way into this boring movie, I decided to leave, then I decided that since I paid a lot for IMAX EXP. I'd stay and see it thru. Left, feeling cheated out of entertainment and a sense of disappointment that Ryan Gosling would lower himself to be in this crap movie that pretends to be of any value at all worth seeing. I found it boring, and the script written by a DEI idiot.
