This movie was not what I expected. At the end people were clapping. I was clapping because it was finally over. Don't waste your money. I would not even buy the movie. This movie was a big thumbs down.

I have seen this movie 3 times. Once on the IMAX. A must see movie. Good plot and character development. If you have not seen, watch it at the IMAX for the full effect.

I am amazed by the new 3D technology. Even if you don't like the story, see it for the effects alone and you won't be disappointed. Some of the most stunning animation - you can no longer tell where the real ends and the animation begins.

James Cameron special-effects extravaganza, seekers of wildly baroque plot and storytelling, seek elsewhere. That understood ... first ORIGINAL output I've seen in theatres in a decade at LEAST. WATCH THIS FILM, check expectations at the door, and despite Cameron's best attempts, thou shall find gems of wisdom buried within. Rumored to be based on a Poul Anderson short or novel (I believe this, check out the author's works for comparison) Technically brilliant, and a good tale.

My 7 & 8 year old grandchildren enjoyed this movie. They liked the action and the 3D effects. They did say it scared them at times...might be when grandma screamed when things would jump out of the picture and look like it was going to land on me. LOL
