i just dont know what people rave about this film.. it could of been good if the actors actually SPOKE the words.. the singing was awful. the little girl, cosette was cute and sang nice but the 2 main characters was not so great. russell crowe was slightly better then hugh jackman. all in all , it was torture to sit throug this film.. i knew their was SOME singing but not all singing. i am not ashamed to be different and say the movie was not great..

Two major points of critique land this movie a 7 out of 10. The unique camera positioning gets tiring and repetitive throughout the length of this production. Second, the casting of Inspector Javert calls for a stronger and deeper voiced, more authoritative actor than Russel Crowe. Overall still worth seeing.

If you are familiar with this story and the music, you might be disappointed.. Russell Crowe seamed uncomfortable.I feel he was miscasted for this role.

Go. See. This. Movie! What an amazing adaptation of the play. So much detail that could never be portrayed on stage. Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway and Russel Crowe gave outstanding performances. Absolutely Brilliant!!
