While on holiday in the south of France, chic Parisian sophisticate Violette (Julie Delpy) and her best friend Ariane (Karin Viard) talk about love and sex, making fun of them mercilessly. When Violette meets the awkward but undeniably handsome Jean-René (Dany Boon), she tries to keep a distance, but his charm wins her over.
She returns to Paris with Jean-René, but her 19-year-old son, Lolo (Vincent Lacoste), doesn't like this intrusion of a new man in his mother's life. He decides he's going to undermine Jean-René at every turn and get rid of this unwelcome interloper.
