Broadway star Margo Channing (Bette Davis) has everything she could possibly want, a successful career, a man who loves her, and adoring fans. One fan in particular Eve Harrington (Anne Baxter), is desperate to become Margo's protégée. Although Eve seems innocent and naïve enough, Margo discovers that taking Eve under her wing was her first mistake.
