While surfing the Internet, Montreal resident Sandra Bagaria is intrigued by a catchy blog title: A Gay Girl in Damascus. She then begins an erotic virtual correspondence with the author, Amina Arraf, who describes herself as a young revolutionary lesbian of American-Syrian origin.
But when she learns that Amina has been kidnapped in broad daylight in the heart of Damascus, Sandra becomes involved in an international attempt to rescue Amina, to prevent her from being tortured, raped or even murdered. However, the young Quebecer discovers that Amina’s disappearance hides a greater mystery than she imagined.
In English, French, and Arabic with English subtitles.
