Snow Overview
When she loses her entire family, including her twin sister Kala, during a tsunami, Sri Lankan native Parvati moves to Canada to live with relatives she's never seen before. Trying to acclimatize herself to an unfamiliar culture, she finds work as a hotel maid.
At the hotel, she calls herself Kala in honor of her sister and begins a love affair with a guest. She makes friends with a homeless young musician named Emily and the two young women decide to travel to the east coast to see the sea again.
