Around India With a Movie Camera Synopsis
Archival footage including hand colored sequences woven together with a new score by Beyoncé and Jay Z collaborator Soumik Datta creates a resonant story about life across India from 1899 to 1947. The film features some of the earliest surviving film from India including travelogues, intimate home movies and newsreels from British, French and Indian filmmakers.
